Functions Of Education Management
Experts have been
expressing the views of management functions, which describe the enactment process
of the activity. As for the management functions are as follows:
1. According to William Spriegel, education management function is divided
intothree, namely: Planing, organizing, controlling Department.
2. According to s. p. Siagian, divided in four management functions include: planning,organizing, controlling,
motivating.
3. According to Pramuji Atmosudirjo, divided in four management functions,
namely:Planing, organizing, actuating, the controlling Department.
From the opinion
of three figures above, it can be concluded that the function of theeducational
management is as follows:
1. Planning (Planning)
Planning is the determination of a series of actions to achieve the
desired results. So,what is meant by planning in management is determining the objectives
or framework for actions that are necessary for the achievement of specific objectives.
2. Organizing (organizing)
The organization is a group of people with a system of cooperation to
achieve thecommon goal. While organizing the process of dividing the work into tasks
that are smaller, imposes a duty on other
appropriate person with ability, and allocate resources, as well as mengkoordinasikannya
in order of effectiveness achievement of the objectives of the organization.
So from an understanding
of the above it can be concluded that the organization is a container or a very important tool in management. In these organizations can be assigned tasks, powers, functions, and responsibilities of each, then the organizationcan run regularly to the desired destination.
3. Actuating (implementation)
Stage of implementation-oriented human movement to carry out the work.
And theactivities consist of:
Supervision, a leader or a manager of education should be able to provide
guidanceand direction to the executive education. The leadership must be able and
alwaysuplifting, dividing the staff assignments, giving direction, guidance, and
coaching tostaff able to carry out the task/work to achieve the goal.
the coordination of education, a manager should be able to connect, unify and harmonize those that exist in one unified organization became the Royal authority.With good coordination, all parts and personnel can work together toward onedirection already set. Because of the coordination activities bring people, materials,thoughts, techniques, and goals into a harmonious and productive relationships in achieving an objective.
Decision making, managers of education should be able to perform a selection of jellyor right over various alternatives to resolve the problems arising in the process of the implementation of education, and activities that are closely related to theimplementation of the activities of organizations of education.
4. Controlling (surveillance)
Surveillance is the pursuit of activities so that work can be carried
out in accordance with the
plans and objectives
that have been
set. Thus, surveillance is
conducted
an assessment and
correction,
so that what
is being done
by a subordinate
can be directed
to the right
path according to
the purpose to
be achieved.
Supervision is
